We stayed in Ash Barton for our company team-building 'retreat' at the end of March and had a fantastic time. The house is absolutely wonderful, so much space and some brilliant facilities too. With its original stone walls and twinkling fairy lights, weddings in our little chapel often feel like a scene from a weepy romantic movie. Almost certainly, there will be a tear or two shed on the day.
Your chapel wedding ceremony
If you want to get married in the old chapel, there’s room to seat up to 100 of your closest friends and family for the ceremony. And feel free to decorate our chapel how you like, so it fits in with the theme of your wedding. Pretty wildflowers, candles, bunting and ribbons are always popular choices.
Once the ceremony is over, head over to our big party barn for a sit down wedding breakfast followed by dancing until dawn. Or maybe you’d prefer a marquee on the Ash Barton lawn.
Enjoy a sit down celebration in the chapel
You don’t have to have your wedding ceremony in the old chapel of course. There are numerous wedding ceremony locations all over the Ash Barton estate where you can get married. The cobbled courtyard, or the wildflower meadow are lovely spots to have a wedding during the warmer months. Then follow this up with a sit down wedding breakfast in the old chapel. It seats up to 50, so it’s the ideal location for an intimate celebration.
The old chapel is cool and comfortable in the summer and warm and cosy during the winter months, which means it can be used all year round. There aren’t many Devon wedding venues with a chapel as beautiful as Ash Barton. Which is why it gets booked up so quickly.
