The Perfect Old Chapel Wedding for Alice and Duncan

Interviews    03.11.2025

Alice and Duncan tied the knot in our old chapel back in June, and what a gorgeous few days it was.

“We had our wedding on the 2nd - 4th June at Ash Barton and it was incredible!

“Monday: Big set up with close friends and family. We invited all the guests for an evening meal. My mum cooked lasagnes in advance, and we got Croyde Concierge in to make salads and cheese boards, serve and then clean up! With absolutely minimal input from me they made it look incredible, and it ran sooo smoothly! We then hosted a quiz night in the lounge (50+ guests in there)!"

“Tuesday: Wedding day. We had a 2pm ceremony in the old chapel, drinks reception in the courtyard and big party in the big party barn!

“Wednesday: Pizza ovens, BBQ and swimming pool.  We drank the leftovers from the bar and then used Croyde Concierge to do the big party barn clean up!”

“Thursday: The big pack up and we wish we could do it all again.”

Make up: Rachel at Isabelle Grace

“Rachel was a dream to have around on the morning of the wedding and her soft glam was incredible.”

Flowers: Peamore Flora

"Peamore Flora supplied our flowers. We picked them up Sunday morning, arranged them in bud vases and then transported them to the venue. We made up the bridesmaid bouquets and they made my bridal bouquet and button holes. Worked amazingly and was very cost effective!”

Photography: Rachel J Photography

“Rachael’s style of photography is lovely, natural, candid and unforced. Couldn’t be happier with our pictures!”

Videography: Benjamen Evans

“We couldn’t believe the footage Ben managed to get! We both cried at our sneak peak video!”

Drinks reception singer: Savannah Mountain

“The main singer of When in Roam! A beautiful acoustic set.”

Canapés: Morrisons

“We ordered click and collect Morrisons scones and they came with jam and cream and ready to serve. It saved us a fortune, and were genuinely delicious.”

Banner: Bianco Perry

Roaming band: When in Roam

“We had these play two sets during our wedding breakfast, and it was the best decision we made, we danced our way through the meal, sang and just had the best time.”

Evening band: The Cove Club

“Brought the vibes all night, and let my partner’s step dad join in for some songs which was a core memory for us!”

Catering: Buen Apertito

“We had them for Spanish mezze, paellas and evening food! The food was incredible, they were exactly the laid back vibe we were after.”

Bar: Buen Apertito

“Staff were supplied by Buen Apetito. We used Sum Up machines to charge, used GT Ales for kegs and got the rest from supermarkets when they had bank holiday offers on!

Staff: Croyde Concierge

"We used Croyde Concierge on Monday evening and Wednesday morning. Highly recommend! Holly was a dream.”

Decor: DIY

“We got everything second-hand and hired nothing and that worked out a lot more cost effective for us! Also, the venue is so stunning itself, I honestly think it needs minimal extras, which is partly why we loved it!”

Photobooth: Box Photobooths

“Some hilarious pics, although think our guests were too busy dancing to fully utilise it!”

Nanny: Gillys Helping Hands

"Gillys Helping Hands looked after my bridesmaids’ 14 month old and 3 month old babies most of the day and evening. It worked perfectly, and their parents only regrets were they didn’t book her the whole 3 days!”
