Ski-Themed Spring Wedding for Zoe and Jordan

Interviews    27.11.2024

Happy wedding day to the gorgeous Zoe and Jordan who enjoyed a ski themed, Italian-style celebration at the end of May. The couple got married in front of friends and family in a packed old chapel, had drinks and music in the courtyard, before heading off to the big party barn for a wedding breakfast and some serious partying. We loved your cake, karaoke and watching your guests drinking shots off a ski! Many congratulations to you both.

Make-up: Isabelle Grace Makeup

"My make-up was done by the fabulous Isabelle Grace Makeup. Rachel is so lovely and will make you and your bridal party feel like queens when she’s finished. One of my bridesmaids was so overjoyed by her makeup, she started to get teary! Rach had nine people to get through on the day of the wedding and did so in incredible time."

Hair: Rachel’s Hair Beautique

"My hair was done by my wonderful hairdresser Rachael’s Hair and Beauty in Bideford. I chose to have Rach because she knows my hair and she’s a perfectionist! Even with all the dancing later in the evening, my hair still looked great."

Dress: Champagne and Charlotte

My wedding dress came from Champagne and Charlotte in Bideford. It was the first dress I tried on and I knew it was the one. The girls were so helpful and made sure I tried on different styles to ensure I found the perfect dress.

Wedding co-ordination: Katie at Best Day Ever

"The wonderful Katie Stevens was our wedding coordinator. She was there the day before helping us set up in the big party barn, making sure we were nice and calm ahead of our big day. On the day she was buzzing around making sure everything was perfect and organising our switch of venues form the wild lower meadow to the old chapel without fuss. More importantly, she handed Jordan and I a glass of Prosecco as soon as we walked out of the chapel (it’s the little things)."

Photography: Laura at FreeformImages

"Our day was captured by Freeform Images.  We cannot recommend Laura enough! Second shooter was Jake Janes Photography. Jake was learning the ropes at Ash Barton and joined our photographer Laura capturing some beautiful images over the course of the day."

Videography: Kayleigh A McDonald

"We also had Kayleigh capturing our day through video. Kayleigh was fab on the day, making sure she got all the shots (including enough for a blooper reel!)"

Photobooth: The Little Red Bus

"The Little Red Bus was a late addition to our wedding suppliers but was the most amazing addition. Our guests enjoyed taking photos in Rory and getting dressed up in all the different props supplied!"

Catering: Latitudes Catering

"Our food was supplied by  Latitudes Catering and it did not disappoint. Chris, Lara and the team were amazing from start to finish. We went for an Italian themed wedding (lasagna, spinach and ricotta cannelloni, antipasti and bruschetta) and it went down a storm with one guest saying he was ‘Christmas Day full’ after eating! For dessert, it has always been a dream of mine to have Hocking’s Ice Cream so we purchased a load of tubs and it was served by the wonderful staff at Latitudes."

Sweet stand: SoSweet

"We had a sweet stand supplied by the amazing SoSweet which was well received by adults and children alike. Dan arrived the day before to set up and came the following day to take down meaning we didn’t have to worry about a thing."

Bar: FlyBar Mobile Bar

"FlyBar Mobile Bar were our choice for the evening bar. They were fantastic, making sure that everyone was suitably hydrated with whatever drink they’d like - including espresso martinis!!"

Evening entertainment: Devon Pro Entertainments

"Devon Pro Entertainments was the source of many good tunes that kept guests on the dance floor all night. Simon was great and very accommodating during the course of the evening. We opted for karaoke as well as music and I think he would agree it was a massive hit with the guests. Nothing was too much trouble and he very much went with the feel and vibe of night which made it so special."

Reception entertainment: The Hoodoos

"Hoodoo Man serenaded our guests during our reception drinks following the ceremony and even allows me to sing one of my favourite songs to our guests. Ian is a great musician and added something special to the courtyard whilst people were chatting and drinking.

Tent Hire: Native Bell Tents

"These guys were great, such a smooth process for people wanting to hire. They were there set up the day we arrived and added to our festival style themed wedding."
