If there’s one thing we love more than a wedding at Ash Barton, it’s two weddings at Ash Barton, as was the case with the recent nuptials of Serena and Deepesh. We caught up with this fabulous couple to talk about their weekend of celebrations.

“All we can say is WOW!  We had our wedding(s) at The Ash Barton Estate and it surpassed anything we could have imagined.

“We had our full civil wedding and reception on Friday 17th (Paddy's Day) the Saturday was our recovery, pithi (haldi) ceremony, and mendhi party, and on Sunday 19th we had our Indian wedding ceremony with the reception of all receptions to end the weekend on a bang!”  

Wedding stylist and co-ordinator: Best Day Ever.

“Katie and her team from Best Day Ever absolutely killed it with the styling for both days. It looked so so beautiful. She also did the most amazing job of keeping everything on time, and me sane there is absolutely NO WAY we could of had the weekend we did without her. For any of you thinking of using her, DO IT! She is absolutely fantastic, even responding to my crazy 11pm messages when random things that popped into my head. She is a superstar.”

Hair: Carly Hanson

“Carly did a fab job of doing mine and my bridesmaids hair. She was also such a star with helping out with various other things and such a lovely calming person to have around on what can be a stressful/nerve-wracking morning.”

Flowers: Wood Barn Flowers

“Our wedding flowers were supplied by a wonderful Artisan florist from south Devon called Holly from Wood Barn Flowers. She went above and beyond for us and is so talented. 100% check out her Instagram, not only for wedding flowers, but for flowers in general. She's so knowledgeable about what she does and is conscious about the environment.”

Catering: Latitudes Catering

“Wow! Latitudes catering absolutely blew us away with the food they cooked for us over the weekend. On the Friday we had a mix of canapes in the courtyard in the afternoon and for our wedding breakfast we opted for Greek meze, this went down an absolute treat and everyone loved it, I'm still dreaming of the baked feta.

"They also did an outstanding job at catering for our Indian wedding on the Sunday. Lara was so fab at going back and forth with ideas with us. Chris created some beautiful Indian style street food stalls, so after our ceremony everyone got to enjoy hot chai and gathia, pav bhaji, pakoras and samosa chaat (all soooo tasty). Then in the evening they treated us to some delicious chilli mogo, and tikka paneer to start, and a chicken Chennai curry, potato and chickpea curry and a delicious chickpea dhall with rice and naan.

"We were worried when we initially tried finding Indian caterers for our wedding as there aren't many in the Devon area, but hands down Latitudes really aced it. They did so much research and the food was amazing and so many people raved about it. Would 100% recommend getting in touch with them if you're having an Indian wedding at Ash Barton or ANY wedding!”

“We really had the best weekend of our lives. There is no other venue we could have had the weekend that we did. The estate is so beautiful and the staff who work there are all wonderful.

"Our guests were all blown away by the venue and those who stayed on site loved it and were sad to leave. We hope to be back one day."
