We love a late autumn wedding at Ash Barton, as there’s just something so glorious about the golden colours and the cool but sunny days. Suzanne and Oil were married in the old chapel back in November before partying all night in the big party barn. And they even managed to sneak off to the beach for some stunning shots too. “Katie and her team were the nicest people ever. We had several almost disasters morning of the wedding and Katie was so chilled telling me I didn’t panic for a minute. Emily carried my dress for me so it didn’t get muddy and they staffed our bar for us and coped with pouring about a bajillion espresso martinis. I love them all.”

“Our caterer did exactly what we wanted. We had an incredible cheese grazing platter during our reception drinks which I basically had to be dragged away from for photos. We had big sharing platters of cosy roast and apple crumble for desert and the portions were insane. Paula literally was incredible in the run up and somehow replies to all emails instantly?! All our guests raved about our food and we were so happy that we got the menu we wanted! It was their first time at Ash Barton but I hope not the last, as they were amazing.”

Friday night pizza: Flame and Dough Woodfired Pizza

Sunday brunch: Dan’s American Kitchen

“Dan’s American Kitchen did chicken and waffles for us in the house and it was such good value, the team were amazing and it cured all the hangovers! They set it up as a buffet for two hours so guests could come back the day after and it worked perfectly. The waffles were amazing. One of my weekend highlights!”
