Despite the short days and nippy weather, there’s been plenty going on at Ash Barton in the last few weeks.

The big news? We’ve installed a full-on Saturday Night Fever disco dance floor in the big party barn. Slip on that white John Travolta suit and get ready to bust some moves. Plus, we’ve moved things around in the barn a bit, so now there’s more room to eat, drink and party.

Simon, Thomas and Pete were all on hand with hammers, screws and elbow grease to lay the new 7m x 6m dance floor. (The old dance floor was 5m x 5m.) And yes, we also installed wibbly wobbly mirrors, 40 disco balls, stage lights and an amazing state-of-the-art AV system too.

 

We also pinched some space from our storage area, which meant we could relocate the snooker and pool table, as well as one of the pianos. And it's meant we could create a brand new and bigger bar area too. And check out our bar sign. It reads Ash - BAR - ton!

And by doing that we’ve freed up loads more space in the main area for tables and chairs. Although it’s much bigger, it can easily be divided up by curtains. On the diagram they go from A to B and from C to D. It means you always have the right sized space for whatever you need.

The catering kitchen has had an upgrade too. It’s in the same place but now has solid walls, proper doors, a metal anti slip floor and sinks.

And the goody cupboard now has a proper space at the back of the storage cupboard. After various weddings and shindigs, lots of bits and pieces like table decorations, bunting and feather boas get left behind and put in the goody cupboard.
