What to see in North Devon

But if you have the time and inclination to explore, there’s plenty to see and do in North Devon for every member of the group, from local pubs, seafood restaurants and cream teas to surfing, hiking across national parks and wandering around famous old markets.

Woolacoombe, Croyde and Saunton Sands all have beautiful sandy beaches. The more adventurous in your group may fancy a spot of surfing or even kitesurfing. For the keen hikers there are some stunning walks on the South West Coast Path and nearby Dartmoor and Exmoor. And for those members in your group who prefer a holiday that’s a little more leisurely, spend some time wandering around Barnstaple’s historic Pannier market.

In need of sustenance? Squires in Braunton does the best fish and chips around and can accommodate large groups. When it comes to Devon cream teas, Tea by the Taw in Barnstaple is one of our favourites.
